HMID Will Add Hyundai N High Performance Model Following Ioniq's Success 5 N

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) today officially launched the All-new Kona Electric N Line while strengthening the existence of the Hyundai N subdivision in Indonesia after the presence of Ioniq 5 N.

With the presence of this SUV, consumers in Indonesia have many car choices with a sporty display and good performance. The good news is again, the company plans to increase the product in this subbrand next year.

PT HMID Chief Operating Officer, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto said that his party wants to expand products from Hyundai N both in the high-performance and N Line segments.

"There is our intention to present the latest N high-performance and N Line products for next year, to wait for the time further," said Frans when met by the media at the Hyundai N Brand Experience Center, SCBD, Jakarta, Thursday, December 12.

Interestingly, he explained that HMID would add other high-performance models in Indonesia that would accompany phenomenal Ioniq 5 N.

"But as explained earlier, we will present N high-performance for the Indonesian market next to Ioniq 5 N. However, we will make sure there will be a new all-new model later," added Frans.

In the global market, this South Korean manufacturer has a number of high-performance models such as Elantra N in the form of a four-door sedan, i20N in the form of a compact hatchback, and i30 N in medium hatchback style.

Elantra N or called Avante N in several markets has a 2.0 liter turbo engine that can produce up to 276 dk of power. This performance is supported by dual-clutch eight acceleration transmission which provides instant acceleration.

Meanwhile, i20 N has a performance of a 1.6 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which produces 201 dk of power and a 275 Nm torque combined with a six-acceleration manual transmission.

Other models such as i30 N have a 2.0 liter 4-silinder line engine that provides 276 dk of power and a maximum torque of 392 Nm with manual and dual-clutch transmission offers.
