ATPM Adds Many Gaikindo Open The Option Of GIIAS Exhibition Moving Locations, PIK?

JAKARTA - The national automotive industry is now busy being decorated with various brands from various countries, from China, the United States (US), to Europe.

At Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2024, participants have just begun to show their existence such as Zeekr, Aletra, and Ford.

Thus, there is the potential that a number of these new brands will take part in the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) in the upcoming edition. Because more and more brands are participating, the exhibition must move locations.

The General Chairperson of the Gaikindo Implementation, Rizwan Alamsjah, said that his party had considerations to move the GIIAS location to a wider place from ICE BSD, Tangerang.

"Because there are more brands from China and members of Gaikindo, like it or not, there are considerations to move. If there is not yet, then it must remain here," said Alamsjah when met by reporters at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Saturday, November 30.

Rumors circulated that the location of the GIIAS exhibition would be moved to Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), Jakarta. Responding to this, Alamsjah responded that Gaikindo not only considered one location but also many locations that made it possible to accommodate many participants.

"Not only PIK, if there are other places that are wider, we will consider it. If there is a wider location, we will definitely move. But at this time there is no. We already have an idea but there is no place to go yet," added Alamsjah.

Meskipun demikian, ia menambahkan bahwa pihaknya membuka kemungkinan untuk tetap mengadan pameran GIIAS di ICE BSD dengan catatan peserta menerima pengurangan luas booth.

"That's why in GIIAS, the space is not enough (on ICE BSD). But there are more participants. Maybe participants should accept a reduction in space," concluded Alamsjah.
