HMID Confirms Mechanics In All Hyundai Dealer Networks In Indonesia Can Change Battery Module

JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) confirmed that mechanics in all official Hyundai dealer networks can change battery modules for EVs.

PT HMID Sugiartono's Technical Expert, said that the EV battery module in Kona Electric could be replaced in all Hyundai dealer services. However, cell changes cannot be done.

"Usually per module contains several cells in it. Cells can only be done in manufacturing. But if the module changes, all dealers can make changes to which ones are weak and affected," said Sugiartono when met in Semarang, Tuesday, October 8.

PT HMID's Head of Public Relations Badminton Simanjuntak, also added that customers don't have to worry about replacing the battery completely if the battery health is reduced than it should be.

"It will be checked moduli per module. So there is no need to replace it at the same time intact," added fire.

Meanwhile, the Professional of Cel Technology Assembly of PT Hyundai LG Indonesia (HLI) Muhammad Afif, explained that battery cell replacement can only be done at the assembly location because this device is built using tools in a specially designed laboratory.

"Untuk pergantian cell itu tidak mungkin, karena baterai dari HLI masuk ke moduli baru masuk ke battery pack," tambah Afif.

Then, PT HMID also ensures that battery guarantees in electric cars such as Kona Electric will still apply even though one day the vehicle will change hands of the owner.

"The battery guarantee for 8 years or 180 thousand km will not be scorched when it changes hands, because the warranty is binding to the car unit, not the owner," concludedphetamine afterwards.
