Porsche has again made a withdrawal on the Taycan model in the United States (US) with a total of 27,527 units.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this is because the EV battery module has the potential to experience a short circuit so that it can endanger the safety of drivers and other road users.

"Short relationships in high-voltage batteries increase the risk of fires," NHTSA said.

In the recall, the affected Porsche Taycan is a model from 2021 to 2024. The US safety regulator also added that repairs would be made by dealers by installing diagnostic software in vehicles or repairs for free.

This adds to the list of withdrawals involving Porsche Taycan. In June, a total of 17,278 units of this model in China were in trouble due to the lack of braking effectiveness that could potentially be an accident.

Responding to the recall, Porsche provides a free replacement for the front double brake hose, to eliminate the above problems that can be done in the official dealer network.

In the same month, this sedan-style car was also announced to experience mass recall around the world. The German brand said it was caused by a crack in the braking hose causing the brakes to leak.

Brands have not disclosed the number of vehicles affected. However, to date, Porsche has sold as many as 150,000 units globally since this model was launched in 2020.

Porsche Taycan, who had this mistake, will display a warning light on the dashboard. If the owner sees this warning sign, then the car is rushed to take it to the dealer network.

Meanwhile, if vehicle owners see a red light appearing on the indicator, they must contact Porsche and are advised not to use their vehicle.
