Wuling Remains Confident In Facing The Indonesian Hybrid Market Without Incentives

JAKARTA The government has ensured that no incentives are given for hybrid cars in Indonesia. Responding to this, Wuling Motors, one of the manufacturers with a hybrid model, said it was ready to follow the policies that had been set.

This was conveyed by the Wuling Motors Public Relations Manager, Brian Gomgom. He emphasized that Wuling will always support the government's policies that have been prepared.

"We are sure that all the policies that have been prepared will bring good results, and we also have a hybrid model," said Gomgom when met in the Bogor area, some time ago.

Gomgom explained that the Wuling factory is currently capable of producing various types of vehicles, including cars with internal combustion engines (ICE), hybrids, and pure electric cars (EVs).

"As long as there is demand in the market, we will continue to play in the hybrid segment, because our factory is capable of producing EVs, ICE, and hybrid," he added.

Although there are no incentives from the government for hybrid cars, Wuling still maintains its strategy in the Indonesian automotive market. Currently, Wuling has a hybrid model, namely Almaz.

"Our focus is indeed on EVs and hybrids, but we always follow consumer demand. What the market wants, that's what we will present," he concluded.
