Rumors Of Toyota Developing A 2.0 Liter Engine With Extortion Power, This Is The Leak

JAKARTA - An automotive manufacturer from Japan, Toyota has not stopped to continue to innovate in developing combustion engines (ICE). Well recently, the world's famous brand is rumored to be developing a 2.0 liter turbocharged machine with wild power.

Launching from Best Car, Friday, August 16, it is reported that the engine can spur up to 592 dk for racing specifications without any electrification assistance.

Unfortunately, the engine with this power is still not certain what racing car will be used from the Toyota Gazoo Racing division.

In addition to racing specifications, the brand will also develop specifications for highway cars with 395 dk of power and 550 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the lowest variant is expected to touch 296 dk and 400 Nm of torque.

It is possible that the road specifications engine will be applied to Toyota's future sports car. Moreover, the manufacturer is considering designing ICE and EV versions of the MR2 roadster.

Reportedly this model, which was revived since it was stopped in 2007, will get the highest specifications for GRMN carrying a 2.0 liter engine combined with a four-wheeled GR-Four propulsion system.

The report also says that Toyota MR2 GRMN can be produced in a limited number and is only available in the Japanese market. It is estimated that the car offers transmission of eight automatic accelerations and manual six accelerations.

Although it is still too early to speculate, it is reported that this sports model will be sold in Sakura's country for around 10 million yen, equivalent to Rp1,058 billion.

In addition to MR2, the manufacturer, which is now headed by Akio Toyoda, is also trying to restore the model of Celica, which will have a two-door pairing style with the front engine.

Although the information is still limited, it is possible that Celica will be reborn as a powered car of up to 400 dk using the same GR-Four system as GR Corolla and GR Yaris.

As previously reported, Celica is rumored to be debuting in early January or at Tokyo Auto Salon 2025.
