JAKARTA - BYD not only exhibited a new car but also brought the latest technology which was introduced directly at the GIIAS 2024 event, the technology was embedded in the Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) Yangwang U8.

This car, which has been sold in China, is embedded with e4 technology, which allows cars to rotate up to 359 degrees or Tank Turn, and attracts the attention of many visitors.

Of course not a few are curious about how to operate it?

"To operate it is actually simple, in the car there is a screen that will show the condition of our vehicle and its surroundings and we can also choose the corner of our round of 359 degrees according to our needs and speed, and a maximum of 10 kilometers per hour," said Technical Support & Training BYD Adzhar Ibrahim, to the media crew some time ago.

One of the technologies embedded in e4 is the Independent Drive Motor which works to move each wheel, so that the car can rotate smoothly.

"After pressing the screen then we can go forward with transmission D while stepping on the brake pedal and activating the tank turn, after that we can remove the brake pedal and activate it automatically," he added.

As is known, with the ability to rotate up to 359 degrees, this one car has an advantage, which is to adjust parking in a narrow area that is indeed difficult to access.

"With this technological capability, it certainly gives a significant advantage when parking in hard-to-access areas," he added.

Unfortunately, BYD has no plans to market this one model in Indonesia, of course, it is worth waiting for BYD's breakthrough to continue introducing the latest technology.
