GIIAS 2024 Goes On Lively, Gaikindo Says There Are ATPMs That Experience Increases And Declines In Sales

JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) Exhibition officially ended after being held for 11 days at ICE BSD, Tangerang. Different from the previous year, one of the national automotive grand events was moved forward to July.

Despite being moved from August to July, this event continued to be lively and lively because it involved many vehicle brands ranging from China, Japan, to Europe.

General Chairman of Gaikindo Yohannes Nangoi, said that his party also did not accept complaints from the single agent of brand holder (ATPM) who participated in GIIAS this year regarding the schedule for July.

"There are no serious complaints and they can accept it. Because we have to see that visitors are hungry for automotive exhibitions like this," Nangoi told the media at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Saturday, July 27.

He also revealed that there are several brands that have experienced an increase in sales for this year's edition, although others have yielded results that are not much different from last year's or have experienced a decline.

"I asked that there are some brands that produce flat transactions, they go down slightly, and go up a bit," added Nangoi.

He also ensured that several newcomer manufacturers such as BYD, Jetour, BAIC, VinFast, and others were quite satisfied with the sales performance at GIIAS this year.

"But what is certain is that from some newcomers, they are quite satisfied with sales at GIIAS because this is the first time they have participated," added Nangoi.
