Having A Complete Safety Device, Honda Pilot Wins The Highest Safety Value From IIHS

JAKARTA - Honda has just obtained the highest safety title from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) in the 2025 Pilot model. The SUV was given an assessment of 2024 Top Safety Pick+ (TSP+) from the US safety regulator.

In the safety test conducted by IIHS, there were four assessment indicators, namely Good as the highest, Acceptable, marginal, and Poor as the lowest.

Launching from the IIHS page, Friday, July 12, testing the front of the small overlap and updated side testing were given a Good assessment. Meanwhile, testing the front of the overlap is moderately updated to reach Acceptable.

For the test of accident avoidance, this large-dimensional SUV gains a Good value on the front light system and a preventive foreground collisions for pedestrians.

In the children's seatbelt and safety system, Honda Pilot gets a Good assessment. This also proves that this Japanese manufacturer prioritizes the safety of its consumers in using these vehicles.

Thus, the 2025 Pilot became Honda's fifth model to get the highest title after Accord and HR-V received TSP+ and CR-V assessments and Odyssey won the TSP title.

This result is also in line with the manufacturer's vision of 'Safety for Everyone' for all road users. Honda has set a global goal of achieving zero casualties in traffic collisions involving motorcycles and Honda cars by 2050.

Back to the Pilot, this car is equipped with a safety system from Honda Sensing, consisting of a Collision Mitigation Braking System with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
