JAKARTA - Expanding the European market, BYD has signed a new foreign agreement with a French car rental company, Ayvens.

Quoting from the CNevpost page, Thursday, July 4, the announcement of this cooperation was made by Ayvens, which will later be aimed at supporting the distribution of electric passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to companies and retail customers in Europe.

"International and local corporate crossings Ayvens in Europe will benefit from the solution of the electric vehicle fleet, ranging from consulting and operational lease services to end-to-end charging services, for a complete series of BYD electric vehicles," said Ayvens.

BYD President Wang Chuanfu revealed that innovation and collaboration are the main drivers in the progress of the global transition to new energy vehicles.

"Our collaboration with Ayvens reflects our common vision of accelerating the development of the NEV market in Europe," he said.

Later, Ayvens will also offer rental services to small and medium enterprises as well as individuals through the BYD dealer network.

Previously, this operational rental service was only available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and is now present in France indicating the expansion of other European markets.

This collaboration is also a new step BYD amidst the threat of additional tariffs currently being considered.

Talking about BYD in France is nothing new, because the Chinese brand has participated in exhibitions several times with various models. Unfortunately, there is no clarity in the last details of his presence.

However, according to a report from Reuters in May France is rumored to be welcoming electric vehicle giant BYD, even if the brand decides to open a factory in France.
