JAKARTA - A joint venture between Toyota and GAC or GAC Toyota will adopt smart driving solutions from local startups Momenta in China.
Citing from the CNevpost page, the company's official announcement on Weibo revealed GAC Toyota and Momenta will jointly create smart driving solutions with a complete and thorough scenario, which can be used on any road in China.
"Toyota bZ3X will be the first to feature smart driving solutions that can be used on city roads, highways, and parking scenarios," said GAC Toyota.
Not many details were disclosed, but it is estimated that further details will be announced at GAC Toyota Technology Open Day on June 28.

The news also confirmed rumors previously circulated, according to reports from local media Tencent News citing people familiar with the matter saying that Toyota's global model would use a jointly developed solution by Huawei and Momenta.
"This solution is different from Huawei's existing ADS-assisted driving system, where Momenta and Huawei each provide software and hardware solutions, and the three parties work together to integrate," the report said.
The collaboration between Momenta and Toyota is nothing new, because the Chinese startup has been collaborating with Toyota since 2020.
