JAKARTA - Many automotive manufacturers have declared a complete shift to electrification. One of the manufacturers committed to this is Ferrari.

The manufacturer based in Maranello, Italy will present its first pure electric vehicle (EV) next year. But Ferrari says it will still provide its flagship internal combustion engine (ICE), V12, as long as the powertrain is legalized by standard emission regulations.

Ferrari's Global Marketing Emanuele Carando, said that the supercar brand will continue to produce the 12-cylinder machine until the law stipulates that this powertrain is illegal for use on the highway.

"We will produce a naturally-assisted V12 machine until the law does not allow us to do so," Carando was quoted as saying by CarExpert, Wednesday, June 12.

He also hopes that future laws can provide opportunities for internal combustion engines and can take advantage of new fuels that are more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

"We hope that this law in the future will continue to provide opportunities, perhaps by working on new fuels," added Carando.

In early May, Ferrari launched the 12Cilindri model, which is the latest V12 engine car as well as the successor to its old supercar, 812 Superfast.

12 Cilindri represents the latest evolution of Ferrari's uncompromising powertrain philosophy. For decades, it is known that this manufacturer continues to develop this philosophy while remaining loyal to its DNA and core values.

The heart of 12 Cilindri is the latest evolution of the legendary V12 engine that became the legend of Maranello. In this version, this machine emits an extraordinary 830 dk of power and rotates up to 9500 rpm and reaches a top speed of 340 km/h. In its release 12 Cilindri Coupe is claimed to reach 100 km/hour in 2.9 seconds, 200 km/hour in 7.9 seconds. Coupe has a dry weight of 1,560 kg

Meanwhile, Spider is slightly slower, taking 2.95 seconds to reach 100 km/hour and 8.2 seconds to reach 200 km/hour. The spider type has a dry weight of 1,620 kg.

This car is intended for heavy fans who are looking for unmatched performance, comfort, and design. It serves true Ferraristi who value unique emotions that can only be given by Ferrari V12, as well as new clients who dream of combining Italian designs and thrilling driving pleasure but with everyday comfort.

At the time it was launched, the price had not been announced for the US market, but for the Italian market 12Cilindri Coupe it was priced at 395,000 euros (around Rp6.7 billion) while Spider was priced starting at 435,000 euros (equivalent to Rp7.4 billion).
