JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM), distributor and single agent of Honda brand holder (ATPM) in Indonesia, reported its sales during April 2024.

The company reported Honda's car retail sales of 6,507 units in April, down 39.2 percent from the previous month and 36,251 units during the first quarter of this year, down 21.1 percent from last year and ranked third in most car sales in Indonesia.

Sales & Marketing and Aftersales Director of PT HPM Yusak Billy, said the decline in sales in that period was caused by several factors, one of which was the national and global political and economic situation which resulted in buyers delaying buying vehicles.

"This condition causes some consumers to choose to postpone purchases until the situation is considered more stable," Billy said in his statement, Friday, May 17.

Meskipun demikian, Brio masih medominasi penjualan mobil Honda dengan berhasil terjual sebanyak 3,434 unit atau berkontribusi hingga 52,7 persen pada April lalu.

Following Brio, there was an SUV model such as HR-V which received 1,085 units. This achievement was followed by WR-V as many as 772 units and BR-V with a total of 684 units. Meanwhile, other Honda products such as City, Civic RS, to Accord received total sales of 532 units.

Billy added that his party will try to maintain this trend by implementing various sales strategies that can facilitate consumer needs in Indonesia.

"To maintain the level of demand for Honda products, we implemented several strategies including sales programs that ease purchases, as well as strengthen our net of full-sale services for loyal consumers in caring for their vehicles so that the resale value is maintained," concluded Billy.
