BMW Indonesia Hands Over Luxury Sedan Units For The World Water Forum 2024

JAKARTA - BMW Indonesia strengthens its position in the Indonesian market by supporting international events, one of which is the World Water Forum 2024 which will be held on May 18-25 in Bali.

The German manufacturer handed over 51 units of electric sedans, namely 36 units of BMW i5 and 15 units of BMW i7 to the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg) as official vehicles for state leaders and VIPs from the event. This also strengthens the company's commitment as a sustainable mobility agent.

BMW Group Indonesia President Director Ramesh Divyanathan, said these two models are suitable as environmentally friendly mobility for a number of heads of state because they offer the comfort and experience of different environmentally friendly driving.

"BMW Indonesia has always been committed to supporting and becoming an active part of various state activities of the Indonesian government, including organizing international-scale events such as the World Water Forum 2024 which is the 10th forum with the theme: Water For Shared Prosperity," Ramesh said in a media statement, quoted on Saturday, May 4.

The car that was handed over was the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport. This model is an electric version of the eighth generation Series-5 which was introduced globally in mid-2023. With a length of 5,060 mm, a width of 1,900 mm, a height of 1,515 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,995 mm, i5 offers a wide space and maximum comfort for its users.

The exterior design of this car reflects sophistication, with BMW's headlights and Grills. 20-inch rim M aerodynamics wheels 939 M Bicolour Black Gray and Dark Blue Metallic M Sport brakes highlight their dynamic characteristics.

The i5 performance is supported by a single electric motor at the back which is capable of producing 340 dk of power and 430 Nm of torque. This car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour within 6 seconds with a maximum speed of 193 km/hour.

Meanwhile, one model that was submitted was i7 xDrive60 Gran Lusso. This limousine-style sedan has the fifth generation BMW eDrive technology, which allows it to charge from 0 to 80 percent in 38 minutes with DC fast charging 195 kW. With a battery capacity of 101.7 kWh, i7 xDrive60 Gran Lusso can cover a distance of up to 625 km.

In addition to being emission-free, BMW i7 xDrive60 Gran Lusso has an impressive performance with a double electric motor mounted on the front and back with a power of up to 544 dk and a 745 Nm torque. Thus, making the luxury sedan accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hour in just 4.7 seconds.

BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport is priced at IDR 2.177 billion Off The Road and is available on the brand's official dealer network. Meanwhile, i7 xDrive60 Gran Lusso is sold for IDR 3.247 billion Off The Road.
