JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) will start in a matter of days. The event which will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan, will take place from 7 to 10 March 2024.

GIICOMVEC is an exhibition of the commercial vehicle industry after the last time this event was held in 2020 and was stopped due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Yohannes Nangoi, as General Chair of Gaikindo, believes that this event can play a role in turning the wheels of the Indonesian economy by increasing sales of commercial vehicles.

"GIICOMVEC is also a form of Gaikindo's commitment to continue providing education about the latest innovations that focus on reducing exhaust emissions and using environmentally friendly technology on commercial motorized vehicles," Nangoi said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, March 5.

Ahead of the start of the implementation, all participants were preparing their respective booths. At the Hall A area at JCC Senayan, participants were presented for Light Commercial Vehicles' such as Daihatsu, Mitsubishi Motors, Suzuki, Toyota, and Wuling.

Moving to Hall B, there are a number of brands that will present large commercial vehicles such as Hino, Fotin, Isuzu, Mercedes-Benz Truck & Bus, Mitsubishi Fuso, UD Trucks, and United Tractors. In addition, in this booth, several caroseri brands such as Adiputro, Delima Mandiri, and MTU were also present.

To make it easier for visitors, this event provides various facilities such as parking areas at the Elevated B Building and the GBK East Parking Area. For visitors who do not carry private vehicles, they can take advantage of the Shuttle Bus available from Century Park and GBK Area, namely at gate 5 and gate 7 and operate every 15 minutes starting at 10:00 WIB to 19:00 WIB.
