After Building Manufacturing, VinFast Will Open First Dealer Network In The United States

JAKARTA - The electric car brand from Vietnam, VinFast announced that it will open its first dealer in the United States, in the same state as the construction site for an electric vehicle factory.

Quoted from the Electrek page, Friday, December 29, the automaker partnered with the Leith Automotive Group in North Carolina to start selling electric cars completely in the state.

The dealer network is more precisely located at Cary Auto Park in Cary, North Carolina, not far from EV factories in Chatham County, which will offer sales, repair, maintenance, and spare parts.

VinFast's global chief executive told Reuters the company was changing its distribution model, which was previously based on a direct model to consumers, to what he called a hybrid' model that includes dealers.

As is known, VinFast, which has been sending a number of cars in California since March, and revealed that they have received 70 proposals from dealers in the US. This means that more and more networks of dealers will be built.

The Vietnamese brand also plans to bring various electric vehicle models to the US, after planning to bring VF 8 and VF 9.

It is possible to bring an electric minicar called VF3 which recently launched, in which the car is priced at 20,000 US dollars or around Rp. 303 million. Not without reason, because the VinFast manufacturing plant in North Carolina is expected to produce as many as 150,000 vehicles annually after construction in 2025.

Of course, it is worth waiting for a new breakthrough from this Vietnamese brand to compete in foreign markets.
