JAKARTA - In 2024 in Malaysia will be enlivened by the presence of various new cars and facelifts, including products from well-known distributors Bermaz Auto from Mazda, Kia, to Peugeot.

Reporting from the Paultan page, Thursday, December 28, according to MIDF Research, Bermaz Auto plans to introduce Mazda CX-5 facelift in January 2024 for a slightly higher price. The new SUV has been spotted in Malaysia in November this year, and will reportedly come in five variants with a variety of improvements.

In addition, Mazda CX-60, which made its global debut last March and has succeeded in the Southeast Asian market, such as Singapore, the Philippines, and Indonesia, will also step into the Malaysian market.

In the same ranks, Mazda CX-3 facelift is also mentioned, referring to a small-style update announced in Japan in September.

Meanwhile, the fifth-generation Kia Sportage, which will only debut in Malaysia in 2024. The SUV will be introduced as a local assembled model (CKD), along with Carens, a three-line SUV that debuted for the first time in India and is now present in the Indonesian market.

While there is no news of a launch from the Peugeot brand in the report, considering Stellantis has taken over the distribution previously handled by Bermaz Auto Alliance, previous reports stated that models 408 and e-2008 will launch in Malaysia in 2024. Daniel Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer (ASEAN and General Distributor) at Stellantis, also confirmed that both will be produced locally (CKD).
