Kia EV9 Wins Best Family Car Award 2023

JAKARTA - Not only Hyundai won the 'Car of the Year' award from the Top Gear Awards 2023 through Ioniq 5 N, but its subsidiary through Kia EV9 which debuted early 2023 also won an award from Top gear Family Car of the Year' 2023.

This is the first award for the seven-seat electric SUV. In this award, Kia EV9 managed to impress the judges thanks to environmentally friendly technology combined with a spacious room and advanced features in it. The jury in this award consists of editors and Top Gear journalists.

Ini adalah salah satu mobil paling menarik di tahun 2023 bukan karena kemampuannya, tetapi karena apa yang diperkirakannya. Menjadi kembar menjadi ramah lingkungan dan kelas atas tidak mudah, namun EV9 melakukannya dengan penuh gaya, kata Kew, dalam laman Kia, Kamis, 30 November.

With this result, EV9 will appear in the latest edition of BBC Magazine Top Gear, an issue dedicated to the best and most desirable car in the world.

Overall, this electric SUV has a distinctive shape with a firm line. Its impressive appearance is reinforced by triangular-shaped sepatbors and prominent wheel arches that are integrated with the body of the car.

EV9's headlights also attracted attention with the innovation of "Star Map LED daytime running lights (DRL)" which resulted in a diverse pattern of lighting. On the back, this car has a sleek taillight and attracts attention.

The three-line SUV is equipped with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, a 5.3-inch climate control touch screen, and a 12.3-inch navigation system touch screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on its interior.

Other interesting features in Kia EV9 include charging wireless devices, a heating steering wheel, six USB-C ports, and a dual-zone AC system on the front and rear hanging on the roof.

In an effort to improve driver safety and security, Kia provides a variety of features, such as Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (BCCA) with Rein-Cross Traffic Assist (RCTA), 360-degree monitor views, and nine-airbags spread across three-line cabins.

Built on the E-GMP platform, this car is presented with a battery capacity of up to 99.8 kWh which allows vehicles to run up to 495 km in one charge.

The SUV also has Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V) capabilities, which allow cars to function such as power generators, capable of supplying energy to home and other necessities.

Kia's electrification journey doesn't just end there. The South Korean company plans to offer 15 EV models in 2027. Some time ago, they have launched EV3, EV4, and EV5, which proves that these manufacturers have a high commitment to this segment.
