After Jakarta, Wuling Holds 10,000 EV Water Unit Sales Celebration In Surabaya

JAKARTA - Still in the celebration ceremony to reach the sale of 10,000 units of Wuling Air ev in Indonesia, Wuling Motors again held an event for the owner of the tiny electric car entitled "Green Drive Festival" in Surabaya.

The event which took place at the Grand City Hall, Surabaya, was attended by more than 50 Wuling Air ev consumers from the Wuling Electric Vehicle Indonesia (WEVI) community enlivened by various interesting activities.

Regional Sales Manager of Wuling Motors, Edison, said that the event was not only an appreciation of the company to Air ev consumers in the country. But also, as a commitment, Wuling presents environmentally friendly vehicles for the sake of cleaner air in the future.

"We hope that the Indonesian people will be more confident in Air ev who are able to present sustainable mobility solutions in accordance with the spirit of 'Drive For A Green Life'," said Edison in an official statement, Monday, August 28.

The event started with Grand City Hall, Surabaya. Participants who register get an Air ev Starter kit. Then, participants will prepare and receive an explanation of the route starting from Grand City Hall to Mangrove Wonorejo Ecotourism with Air ev which has been given serial numbers according to the convoy line.

After passing the trip, a mangrove tree seed handover procession was carried out by representatives of Wuling and the WEVI community. This activity is a form of environmental concern from Wuling in the coastal area of Surabaya.

This session ended with a photo together. The next activity is a convoy back to the Grand City Hall to take part in the main event. Upon arrival at the Grand City Hall, participants can enjoy various kinds of food stalls, exciting games in the corner game area, and various other interesting programs.

After that, continued with the symbolic pin embedding to representatives of the WEVI community and consumers. Then, the event closed by a music concert.

This is not the first time Wuling has hosted a "Green Drive Festival". Previously, this event was held in Jakarta which was enlivened by Air ev owners and the WEVI community in the capital city.

In Jakarta, the event began at Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, where all vehicles were parked in a "10 K" formation as a symbol of the celebration of the sale of 10,000 units of Wuling Air ev in Indonesia.

Since its launch in September 2022, Wuling Air ev has received a positive response in Indonesia. Sales reached 10,000 units in a short time and were even used as delegation vehicles at the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali and the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT.
