JAKARTA - The biggest automotive exhibition in Indonesia, the 2023 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) will be held on August 10-20 at ICE BSD, Tangerang.

The exhibition is the most eagerly awaited moment for automotive lovers in Indonesia. In addition to the famous automotive brands that are always present every year, this year there will be several new brands that will make this exhibition even more attractive.

With many manufacturers taking part, Gaikindo as the organizer of the event set a target value for transactions at the exhibition.

Yohannes Nangoi, as General Chair of Gaikindo, said that it is hoped that the transaction value that will occur in the upcoming event can reach at least Rp11 trillion. Especially with the pandemic condition that has subsided.

"I did not set a special target, if GIIAS 2022 can sell 26,000 vehicles with a total of Rp11.7 trillion, hopefully at GIIAS 2023 it can be better," said Nangoi when met by the media crew after a press conference in Menteng, Jakarta.

He also added that visitors are also expected to increase from before. Because the condition of the Covid-19 pandemic has subsided. Last year, according to him, GIIAS visitors reached 385 thousand.

"We are targeting more than 400 thousand visitors," he continued.

In GIIAS 2023, Gaikindo will carry the theme "Future Now", when interpreted as "The Current Future".

Several manufacturers will attend by introducing 250 new products with nine of them being world premieres.
