JAKARTA - In order to make the 42nd ASEAN Summit (KTT) successful in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) handed over 117 units of IONIQ 5 as operational vehicles for the event which will be held in May.
Woojune Cha, as President Director of PT HMID symbolically handed over the Hyundai IONIQ 5 unit to the Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat, Setya Utama on Monday at the Hyundai Driving Experience Building, Jakarta.
Woojune stated that his party has a commitment to support the activities of the Indonesian government in line with Indonesia's vision in the implementation of the 42nd ASEAN Summit and hopes that the event will run successfully.
This is not the first time Hyundai IONIQ 5 has been used as a vehicle at an international event. Previously, the Hyundai-seeded electric car was used as an operational vehicle at the G20 Summit in Bali which took place in November 2022.

Hyundai IONIQ 5 will later be used for ministerial vehicles, protocols, security, and safety cars in the VVIP series at the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
