Manis Veda Ega's Results in the First Race at the Silverstone Circuit

JAKARTA - Indonesian youth racer, Veda Ega Pratama, immediately managed to get a sweet result in his first race on the Silverstone Circuit track, England, by finishing third in the 2026 Moto3 practice session. The rider from Wonosari, Gunungkidul, closed the first day of the race session with a time of two minutes 9.639 seconds on Friday, 7 August 2026, WIB night. It was a satisfactory result for the preparation for a more competitive weekend. The rider who defended the Honda Team Asia said that being able to get the third position in the practice session in his first experience racing at Silverstone was a positive start for him. "Being able to end the first day in third place is an incredible feeling. Since the first session, I felt competitive, but we also know there are still some things we can improve," he said in the team's official statement.

The fastest time record of the 2026 British Moto3 Grand Prix practice session was held by Valentin Perrone (KTM) with two minutes 9.568 seconds. He only had a slight advantage of 0.010 seconds from Scott Ogden (CIP Green Power) who took second place. Veda who followed the two names in third place managed to improve his time record from the first free practice or free practice 1 (FP1). The 17-year-old racer completed FP1 with a time of two minutes 11.085 seconds and took sixth place. "I feel confident, but we have to stay focused because all the riders will improve during qualifying. We will continue to work hard, give our best ability, and hopefully we can compete again at the front row," said Veda. Veda will still undergo the second free practice (FP2) and qualifying to get a position on the grid on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Moto3 FP2 takes place at 15.50 - 16.10 WIB, while the first and second qualifying sessions will be held later at night. Currently Veda is in sixth place in the standings with a collection of 90 points from 11 races that have been completed. That position is very satisfying because he has the status of a rookie or newcomer in the Moto3 class race.
