MotoGP England 2026 Schedule at Silverstone Circuit This Weekend

The British MotoGP will start the second half of the 2026 competition (doc. MotoGP).

MotoGP 2026 has completed the summer break and is preparing to welcome the next series which will be held this weekend. The second half of the world's most prestigious motorcycle racing event will take place in England.

The British Grand Prix (GP) race at the Silverstone Circuit will end a three-week break without the roar of prototype engines. The 12th race in the 2026 competition calendar is scheduled to take place on August 7-9.

In addition to marking the start of the second half of the season, the British MotoGP also became a new point in the competition for the world championship title which is sure to get hotter. The reason is that teams and riders have evaluated themselves during the break.

The series of activities for the British MotoGP begins with a media day on Thursday, August 6, 2026. The pre-race press conference, which takes place at 17.00 WIB, will be attended by Marco Bezzecchi, Pedro Acosta, Cal Crutchlow who appears as the host rider, Ai Ogura, to rookie Diogo Moreira.

The action on the new track really starts on Friday, August 7, 2026. Moto3 will open the agenda through the First Free Practice or Free Practice 1 (FP1) session at 16.00 WIB and followed by FP1 Moto2 at 16.50 WIB.

After that, it was the turn of the MotoGP riders to undergo FP1 starting at 17.45 WIB, which was an early opportunity to read the character of the famous fast Silverstone track. After a short break, all classes returned to take part in the Practice session.

Moto3 started Practice at 20.15 WIB and was followed by Moto2 at 21.05 WIB. The main highlight is of course the MotoGP Practice session at 22.00 WIB because the results will determine who will directly secure a ticket to the Second Qualifying Session (Q2).

The Silverstone weekend is also getting more lively with the presence of the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. The big-bodied motorcycle championship will add to the racing agenda through FP1 which takes place at 19.40 WIB, then continue to FP2 at 00.05 WIB in the early hours.

A day full of betting will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Activities begin with FP2 Moto3 at 15.40 WIB, followed by Moto2 at 16.25 WIB, and MotoGP at 17.10 WIB.

After that, the MotoGP class riders will compete for the best starting position in the Qualifying session which starts at 17.50 WIB. Whoever comes out as the fastest in that session, he will secure the pole position.

The competition then continued at night. The Moto3 qualification is scheduled to take place at 19.45 WIB and followed by Moto2 at 20.40 WIB. After all the starting positions were determined, the main focus shifted to the MotoGP Sprint Race which started at 22.00 WIB.

The peak of the race on Sunday will bring a change that will differentiate the British MotoGP this season. The MotoGP Warm Up opens at 15.40 WIB, but the race is not started by Moto3 as usual.

Moto2 actually became the first race at 17.15 WIB and MotoGP took place at 19.00 WIB as the main dish. After the primary class completed the race, Moto3 only hit the road at 20.30 WIB.
