Mohamed Salah Receives Respect from His Teammates

With 255 goals in 435 appearances, the 33-year-old will leave as the Reds' third-highest scorer behind Ian Rush and Roger Hunt.

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson praised the departure of Mohamed Salah as the club's greatest player. The left-back, who joined the club in the same transfer window in 2017, led the tributes in the dressing room.

Salah's long-time Liverpool team-mate also paid tribute. Trent Alexander-Arnold called him a "legend" on Instagram.

"An incredible journey, brother," wrote the defender who left Anfield for Real Madrid last summer.

Liverpool midfielder Ryan Gravenberch also posted a short message, calling Salah a "legend".

Meanwhile, in a statement announcing Salah's departure, Liverpool said he had firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in the Reds' history, helping the club win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, the FA Cup, two League Cups, and one Community Shield.
