JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) has committed to participating in strengthening the MilkLife Soccer Challenge (MLSC) for young girls' football competition, which was initiated by MilkLife and Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation.
Assistant for People's Welfare of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Secretary, Ali Maulana Hakim, said that the MilkLife Soccer Challenge is a positive coaching space that complements the character education process outside the classroom.
"We will continue to support it to become a regular agenda in DKI Jakarta. This tournament can be an example for all parties to work together to develop sports, both collaborating with the Government and the private sector," said Ali.
Ali was present at the opening ceremony of the MLSC Series 2 Jakarta 2025-2026 which took place on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Kingkong Soccer Arena, East Jakarta. The continuation of the series in Jakarta will take place until the weekend.
DKI Jakarta Special Staff for Youth and Sports, Diky Soemarno, who was also present at the opening ceremony, said that the DKI Provincial Government's support for events like this would continue to be strengthened.

MLSC Series 2 Jakarta 2025-2026 will be attended by 2,319 students from 128 madrasah ibtidaiyah (MI) and elementary schools (SD). The number consists of 85 teams in the 10-year-old age group (KU) and 123 teams in the 12-year-old age group.
Program Director MilkLife Soccer Challenge, Teddy Tjahjono, emphasized that this tournament again recorded significant participation. He assessed that it reflected the increasingly strong position of this tournament as a platform for coaching early female football.
"We see a very positive level of participation. We hope that this series can become a solid foundation in strengthening the sustainability of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge in Jakarta at the next event," said Teddy.
The high number of participants who applied in Jakarta made the organizers hold the MilkLife Soccer Challenge Series 2 Jakarta 2025-2026 qualification round in four days.
Head coach of the MilkLife Soccer Challenge, Jacksen F. Tiago, also expressed his admiration for the development and great potential of women's youth football that he witnessed, both from the previous two series to the latest series in Jakarta.
"The qualification process to the knockout round and the group stage gives more opportunities for players to show their best ability. The regional coaching team will select potential players," said Jacksen.
The 2025-2026 MilkLife Soccer Challenge Series 2 will take place in a total of 12 host cities. After Jakarta, the event will continue to Samarinda (April 23-26), Bekasi (April 28-May 3), Banjarmasin (April 30-May 3), Kudus and Surabaya (May 12-17), and Malang (May 19-24).
