I-League Explains The Reason For The Persija Vs PSBS Match Without Spectators At Manahan Stadium

JAKARTA - I-League as the operator of the 2025/2026 Super League explained the reasons behind the decision to hold the Persija Jakarta vs PSBS Biak match without spectators.

The match week 11 of the 2025/2026 Super League will take place at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on Friday, October 31, 2025, at 19.00 WIB. According to the Chief of Marketing I-League, Budiman Dalimunthe, this was due to recommendations from the security forces.

"The reasons (without) definite spectators from the police, the conditions are, the considerations are all kinds of things. Usually the police have records and conditions like what and the staff who work outside ring 1."

"If ring 1 uses match stewart, ring 2 and ring 3 will be the police. That requires a lot of energy," said Budiman Dalimunte in a statement quoted from Antara on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Furthermore, regarding coordination with the Pasoepati as the supporters of Persis Solo, who incidentally occupied the Manahan Stadium, Budiman said that this was not done considering that the match was held without spectators and the track record of the two teams was positive.

"I think it's because without spectators and the history of Pasoepati and Persija is safe," he said again.

For example, Budiman mentioned when the 2024 President's Cup moment when Persija played at Manahan Stadium, Solo. At that time, according to him, the match between the Kemayoran Tigers in Solo was conducive.

Previously, Persija had played three home games at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), North Jakarta, this season. Of the three matches, Persija have never lost with details of one win and two draws.

Responding to Persija's return from playing at home outside Jakarta, Budiman said it was appropriate.

"Yes, it is appropriate. Finally, Persija did it as the host after making efforts, yes, according to Persija's schedule to play in Manahan and without spectators, yes."
