Tottenham Hotspur Vs Chelsea: London Derby Is Nervous, Potential For Goal Rain At Tottenham Stadium

JAKARTA - The London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea is back this weekend, and as usual, this match is guaranteed full of drama, emotions, and goals. Spurs and the Blues will face each other at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the 10th week of the Premier League, Saturday 1 November.

Both teams came with different results at the EFL Cup. Tottenham were eliminated by Newcastle United after losing 0-3, while Chelsea qualified with a 4-3 wild win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in a game full of surprises.

Coach Thomas Frank doesn't seem to have found the stability he wants. After recording an impressive 3-1 win over Everton where Micky van de Ven scored two goals and Pape Sarr contributed one Spurs performance fell in the EFL Cup.

In the last five games in all competitions, Tottenham have only won once. Even so, their position in the standings is still quite safe: Spurs sit third with five points behind leaders Arsenal and two points from Bournemouth in second place.

Enzo Maresca's team were indeed unstable in the league, but were fierce in the away game. Chelsea recorded three consecutive away wins in all competitions, including a dramatic win at Molineux over Wolves.

The 4-3 win made history: for the first time in Premier League history, one team had four different goalscorers aged 21 years and under in one game. However, the euphoria soon subsided after Chelsea lost 1-2 to Sunderland in the Premier League.

The defeat was the third in the last five league games, keeping the Blues stuck in ninth place in the standings. If you lose again, this will be Chelsea's third time to swallow four defeats in the first 10 league games a non-ideal start.

Even so, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is a place that is familiar with the win for Chelsea. Last season they won 4-3 there, making it the fifth win at Spurs headquarters the best record for any visitors in the Premier League.

Tottenham is experiencing a massive injury crisis. There are more than 10 players in trouble, including Yves Bissouma, Dominic Solanke, Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Ben Davies, and Radu Dragusin. Others such as Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, and Archie Gray are still doubtful.

The good news is that the main goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is confirmed to be fit, and Van de Ven is ready to strengthen the back line again. Mohammed Kudus, Mathhys Tel, and Randal Kolo Muani are expected to be the front line trio.

Chelsea also cannot be separated from the problem. Liam Delap had to be absent due to suspension after a red card against Wolves. In addition, Cole Palmer, Dario Escugo, Benoit Badiashile, Levi Colwill, and Mykhaylo Mudryk were also absent due to injuries or doping suspensions.

Andrey Santos is likely to start, while Alejandro Garnacho is ready to return to the main squad to replace Jamie Gittens despite the young player performing well in the middle of the week.

This London derby rarely ends without chaos. Chelsea scored a total of 16 goals in the last three games in all competitions, while Tottenham is still difficult to guess which version will appear solid or messy.

With the attacking style of both teams and weaknesses in the back, this match has the potential to be a fierce goal shootout. A draw with a high score makes the most sense here.
