JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team will face India U-23 in the inaugural trial match in Jakarta, Friday, October 10, 2025. This agenda is a preparation ahead of appearing at the 2025 SEA Games.

Under the leadership of Indra Sjafri, the Garuda Muda squad has undergone a training camp (TC) since October 3, 2025. TC was attended by 23 players out of a total of 32 names who were called.

The training camp is scheduled to finalize for the 2025 SEA Games. In addition, Jens Raven and colleagues are scheduled to face two test matches against India on October 10 and 13, 2025.

The inaugural Indonesian U-23 vs India duel will take place at the GBK Intermediate Stadium, Jakarta, at 19.00 WIB.

This trial agenda is quite important because according to Indra Sjafri the results will be an evaluation material to finalize the Garuda Muda Squad. Moreover, on paper India's strength is one level above Indonesia U-23.

Meanwhile, the U-23 Indonesian national team tried to defend the defending SEA Games title after winning a gold medal in the 2023 edition after defeating Thailand in the final round.

The 2025 SEA Games or 33rd edition will take place in Thailand on 9-20 December 2025. The sporting events throughout Southeast Asia will take place in three cities, namely Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla.
