JAKARTA - Assistant coaches of the Indonesian national team, Denny Landzaat and Alex Pastoor, are known to have left for Saudi Arabia first. This journey was carried out ahead of the agenda of the Indonesian national team in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone.

On that agenda, the Indonesian national team will face the host Saudi Arabia first on October 9, 2025, then fight Iraq on October 12, 2025.

Before the match took place, the players were scheduled to gather on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, before leaving for Saudi Arabia one day later on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Unlike Garuda's squad, assistants to Patrick Kluivert, such as Denny Landzaat and Alex Pastoor, have already flown to Saudi Arabia.

Landzaat and Pastoor departed for Saudi one day ahead of the Indonesian national team.

Although it is not known for certain the reason the two assistants to Kluivers departed early for Saudi Arabia, it is likely that both of them arrived early to ensure the excellent preparation of the Indonesian national team players there.

The Indonesian national team since last week has released 28 names of players against Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the 2026 World Cup Qualification.

These players plan to depart in two waves. Players playing in the Super League will depart on Thursday, while players who have careers abroad will fly on Monday, October 6, 2025.
