Advance To The Fourth Round, Arsenal Overthrow Port Vale In The Carabao Cup

Arsenal confirmed the move to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup 2025/26 after struggling to get rid of Port Vale with a score of 2-0. The match took place at Vale Park, Thursday morning WIB.

The Gunners, as reported by Antara, immediately took the lead quickly in the eighth minute. Eberechi Eze listed his name on the scoreboard after receiving a backheel pass from Myles Lewis-Skelly and finished it calmly.

After that quick goal, Arsenal stepped up the pressure. However, Port Vale remained very tight by piling up six players in the penalty box every time the visitors attacked.

This situation made it difficult for Arsenal to score additional goals.

A golden opportunity came in the 35th minute. Eze threatened again with a shot from inside the penalty box, but the Port Vale goalkeeper managed to thwart the opportunity.

Entering the second half, Arsenal's dominance did not change much. Despite continuing to press, Mikel Arteta's men still struggled to fire on target.

The second goal only arrived before the game was over, to be precise in the 86th minute. Leandro Trossard took advantage of William Saliba's long pass with an accurate shot from the edge of the penalty box that broke into the home goal.

The 2-0 score lasted until the long whistle sounded. This result brought Arsenal to the 4th round even though they had to work hard to penetrate the solid defense of Port Vale.
