Kluiver Praises The Mentality Of Indonesian National Team Players

JAKARTA - Indonesian national team coach Patrick Kluivert praised the mentality of his players who played optimally until the end when they beat Taiwan with a score of 6-0 in the FIFA Match Day match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (GBT), Surabaya, Friday, September 5 evening.

"The game plan is running very well. Results like this are good for confidence, but of course the journey is not over yet," Kluiver said after the match.

According to the Dutch tactician, his foster children showed a professional attitude despite facing a team ranked FIFA under Indonesia. Taiwan is in 172nd position in FIFA, while Indonesia is ranked 118.

Kluivert assessed that a landslide victory over Taiwan was important to increase confidence ahead of the next FIFA Match Day match against Lebanon, Monday (8/9).

Meanwhile, the success of crushing Taiwan with a landslide score was also welcomed by all Indonesian players, including Marc Klok, who had just returned to strengthen the national team after a 1.5-year absence.

Klok, who is currently in the uniform of Persib Bandung, also admitted that he was proud to be able to contribute by making one goal.

"I'm happy to be back and proud of the hard work of the players until they get positive results," he said.

In that match, Indonesia appeared dominant even though it did not field several core players such as Jay Idzes, Calvin Verdok and Kevin Diks.

Rizky Ridho's squad was able to press from the early minutes to produce six goals without reply.

After defeating Taiwan, Indonesia is scheduled to face Lebanon in the next FIFA Match Day match at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya, Monday (8/9).
