Naturalization Of Mauro Zijlstra And Miliano Jonathans Approved By Commission X DPR

JAKARTA - Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives has made a decision regarding the naturalization considerations of Mauro Zijlstra and Miliano Jonathans. In a working meeting that took place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, it was decided that the two citizens were approved.

The decision was taken after a working meeting of Commission X with Kemenpora and PSSI at the DPR RI building. Led by Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Hetifah Sjaifudian, Mauro Zijlstra and Miliano Jonathans also attended a Working Meeting via online video connection.

From this agenda, at the end of the meeting it was concluded that Commission X of the DPR RI approved the request for citizenship of Zijlstra and Jonathans to become Indonesian citizens. Furthermore, the results of the Working Meeting will be presented at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting on the same day.

"The Indonesian House of Representatives Commission X approved the recommendations for granting Indonesian citizenship on behalf of Mauro Nils Zijlstra,ria Conan Kopp, Isabelle Notet, Pauline Marijulan de Pol, Miliano Jonathans, Savelii Molchanov, Evgenii Nurislamov, Artem Bezrukov, and Adel Khabibullin," said Hetifah.

"The results of today's Working Meeting will be delivered at the DPR RI Plenary Meeting on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, for a decision to be made," he said.

The presence of Mauro and Miliano is expected to be a solution for the front line of the Indonesian national team in the midst of a solid agenda that is already waiting.

Next week it will enter the FIFA Matchday September 2025 calendar and the Indonesian national team plans to undergo a trial match in this period. In October 2025, the Garuda Squad will also fight in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone.

In addition to the recommendations given by Indonesian citizens to Zijlstra and Jonathans, Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives also gave the green light to prospective Indonesian Women's national team players, namelyori Corian Kopp, Pauline Jeannette van de Pol, and Isabelle Nottet.
