Ubed Targeted For Kampun At The 2025 Junior World Championships

Badminton player Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah was showered with bonuses after winning the 2025 Asian Junior Championship (VOI/Cosmas Kopong Beda).

JAKARTA Men's singles badminton player Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah or who is familiarly called Ubed is expected to be able to bring home the title from the 2025 Junior World Championships.

The 2025 Junior World Championships will take place on October 6-19 2025 in Guwahati, India. This is Ubed's last major tournament at the junior level.

The chairman of PB Djarum, Yoppy Rosimin, said that Ubed is expected to give his best in his last chance before entering the senior level.

"If someone says Ubed is no longer playing in juniors, I am the one who protestes the most. He must complete. Hopefully, he will be able to fulfill what he wants," said Yoppy.

Ubed recently won the title from the men's singles sector at the 2025 Asian Junior Championship which took place in Solo, Central Java, in July 2025.

The 18-year-old badminton player saved Indonesia's face in the tournament after defeating Liu Yang Ming Yu from China in the final party.

"I want every year to be like Ubed, but it's not easy. There are players under Ubed, of course, but some will be, some may not be," said Yoppy.

Ubed previously brought home a bronze medal from the World Junior Championships in the 2024 edition. At that time, he ran aground in the semifinals against China's host representative Wang Zi Jun.

As for the same event, he helped Indonesia win the Suhandinata Cup from the mixed team number. At that time, the Garuda Squad won over China in the final round.
