Joko Susilo Has A Reason Not To Call Claudia Scheunemann To The Indonesian Women's National Team

Claudia Scheunemann was not included in the Indonesian Women's National Team for the 2025 Women's AFF Cup (VOI/Karisa Aurelia Tukan).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Women's National Team will appear in the 2025 Women's AFF Cup. A total of 23 names have been called. However, there is no Claudia Scheunemann name on the list.

When appearing in the 2025 Women's AFF Cup later, the composition of Garuda Pertiwi is not much different from when appearing in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Qualification in early July 2025.

Joko Susilo as the caretaker emphasized that the composites that had been released were the best. You see, the 2025 Women's AFF Cup tournament is not included in the FIFA calendar. This means that the club has no obligation to release its players for this event.

"This squad is indeed slightly different from the one who appeared in the 2026 Women's Asian Cup Qualification. Apart from without Claudia Scheunemann who played for Hamburg U-17, the Indonesian Women's National Team was also confirmed not to be strengthened by Safira Ika and Sheva OK.

Three diaspora players, such as Iris de Rouw, Felicia de Zeeuw, and Emily Nahon were also absent.

However, a number of mainstay names still fill the squad list, including Reva Oktaviani and Isa Warps.

Interestingly, on the agenda of the 2025 Women's AFF Cup, Shalika, who was previously known as a defender, will try to appear as a midfielder in Joko's game scheme.

The 2025 Women's AFF Cup will be held on August 6-19 2025 in Vietnam. In the tournament, Indonesia is in Group A with the hosts Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia.
