JAKARTA - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) is increasingly confident to host the 2028 PON (National Sports Week) after the successful holding of the VIII 2025 National Community Sports Festival (Fornas).
The chairman of KONI NTB, Mori Hanafi, said that his area has the readiness of human resources (HR) and various other infrastructures that are able to support any event.
"The success of Fornas VIII is a valuable lesson and makes KONI NTB more confident when hosting the 2028 PON," said Hanafi.
The implementation of Fornas VIII has entered its sixth day. The organizers spread 36 venues in seven regencies/cities in NTB.
Fornas VIII 2025 competes in 74 Main Sports Organizations (Inorga). Apart from being a benchmark for PON preparation, this event is also the NTB government's strategy to boost national and international sport tourism destinations.
