JAKARTA The Central Java contingent managed to maintain the status of the overall champion of the MilkLife Archery Challenge for the 2025 Junior Archery Championships.

The event, which was organized by the Indonesian Archery Association (Perpani) and the Djarum Foundation Sports Service, lasted for eight days and reached its peak on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at the Kudus Arena Supersoccer, Central Java.

Chairman of the Central Java Contingent, Martin Sudarmono, said that this victory was due to the persistence of all parties involved, ranging from athletes, coaches, and parents.

"Thank you for the struggle of the athletes who are persistent in competing. However, we hope that the athletes will not be complacent but make this trophy a trigger for the better," said Martin.

Central Java, which sent 80 athletes to this event, managed to bring home 32 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 25 bronze medals.

This is the third time Central Java has won in a row. Previously they won the Yogyakarta edition in 2022, then in Bogor in 2023, and in Batam in 2024.

Following behind Central Java in this 2025 edition are West Java (18 gold, 19 silver, 21 bronze), DKI Jakarta (18 gold, 17 silver, 19 bronze), East Kalimantan (7 gold, 11 silver, 10 bronze), Riau Islands (7 gold, 7 silver, 3 bronze), Yogyakarta (5 gold, 9 silver, and 8 bronze).

Chairman of the Implementing Committee and Deputy General Chair II for the Development and Achievement of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Archery Association (PB Perpani), Abdul Razak, assessed that currently the potential of archery athletes outside Java has actually been very promising, but unfortunately there are not many forums for archery tournaments.

"If it is not honed, the achievements of young athletes will be hampered. We hope that collaboration with the Djarum Foundation can continue to be sustainable in order to advance archery in Indonesia," said Razak.

The MilkLife Archery Challenge of the 2025 Junior Archery National Championship was attended by 876 archery athletes. This event is expected to be able to trigger other archery sports events among the wider community.

Djarum Foundation Sports Service Director Program Yoppy Rosimin is grateful for the success of the 2025 Junior Championship Championship Archery Challenge MilkLife tournament which was held in Kudus.

"Hopefully young athletes can continue to love this sport and can tell about the excitement of their experience in participating in the national championship," said Yoppy.
