2025 President's Cup Provides Prizes For Ranks 5 And 6

JAKARTA The organizers of the 2025 President's Cup ensured that the teams that finished in fifth and sixth place would each receive prizes of Rp. 200 million and Rp. 100 million.

This was confirmed by the Steering Committee for the 2025 President's Cup, Maruarar Sirait, at a press conference at SCTV Tower, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, July 4, 2025, evening WIB.

"Now I announce that the fifth-ranked team will get Rp200 million and the sixth-ranked team will get Rp100 million," said Maruarar.

This prize for fifth and sixth place was announced by Maruarar after comic Muhammad Ronaldo when opening a press conference asked that the fifth and sixth ranked teams also need to get a prize.

Previously, the prize was only given to the winning team and ranked second to fourth.

The team that won will bring home Rp5.5 billion, runners-up gets Rp3 billion, third place gets Rp2 billion, and fourth place earns Rp1 billion.

Ronaldo when carrying the comic material then touched on the issue of the prize. According to him, the prizes should have been obtained by all six participating teams.

"The participants have six winners up to four, yes, sorry for the fifth and sixth place winners, they didn't get anything from this," said Ronaldo, who was greeted by laughter from the media crew.

The 2025 President's Cup will be attended by six teams, two of whom from abroad. They are Oxford United (England), Port FC (Thailand), Persib Bandung, Arema FC, Dewa United, and the Indonesian League All Star.

The pre-season tournament will take place on July 6-13, 2025. The Persib Bandung vs Port FC duel in Group B will open the 2025 President's Cup at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency.

The opening ceremony will take place at the GBK Main Stadium, Jakarta, at 19.30 WIB along with the party in Group A between the All Star Indonesian League versus Oxford United.

Maruarar said that the seventh 2025 President's Cup had been able to maintain consistency in the implementation and improvement of quality while maintaining independence.

"The President's Cup remains dependent on private funds and involves PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as an independent auditor to ensure transparency and accountability in managing the President's Cup funds," he said.
