Sepang 2025 MotoGP Test Results: Fastest Morbidelli

JAKARTA The Pertamina Enduro VR46 racer, Franco Morbidelli, managed to get out as the fastest on the second day of the 2025 MotoGP test in Sepang, Malaysia, Thursday, February 6, 2025.

The Italian rider finished today with a record time of 1 minute 57.210 seconds. He won over world champion once from France, Fabio Quartararo, who trailed in second place with a time of 1 minute 57.324 seconds.

Following the two names in third place was Alex Marquez. The racer who defended Gresini Racing ended the session with a record of 1 minute 57.340.

The fourth and fifth positions are occupied by Gresini Racing debutants, Fermin Aldegeer, with a record of 1 minute 57, 545 seconds and two world champion Francesco Bagnaia with a record of 1 minute 57,652 seconds.

Bagnaia had an accident at the last corner, aka Turn 15 before noon. Then, PedroACKa from Red Bull KTM Factory Racing also had a small accident at Turn 5 in the morning session.

A similar fate was also experienced by six-time world champion Marc Marquez. The Spaniard, who had just joined the Ducati manufacturer, crashed at Turn 9 and finally finished in 14th position.

Today's race cannot be followed by defending champions Jorge Martin, Fabio at Giannantonio, and Raul Fernandez. The three of them had an accident in yesterday's session and had to fly to Europe for surgery.

It has been confirmed that all three cannot complete the test session in Sepang. Injuries make them also likely to lose their chance in the test ahead of next week's opening season in Buriram, Thailand.
