JAKARTA - Arista Perdana Putri Darmyo/Muhammad Iqbal Raia Prabowo scored an achievement in the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol 2023. Arista/Iqbal's certainty in winning gold after a final of 16-4 over Min Kyung Oh/Mose Kim (South Korea 2) at Shooting Field Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, January 30. "Thankfully I was able to fight until I finally won. This is my first medal in the World Cup. Since the beginning, Arista/Iqbal have performed well. In the qualifying round they were in the first position of 18 competing mixed teams. In this phase, they scored 579 points, a combination of 287 of Arista's and Iqbal scored 292. 18 of their shots were right at the center of the target. With these results, Arista/Iqbal advanced to the final round to fight for the gold medal against Min Kyung Oh/Mose Kim (South Korea 2) who in the qualifying round were in second place by collecting 577-16x. In the final round Arista/Iqbal again performed brilliantly to be able to get 16 points first. Their first prediction resulted in two points. These results increased Arista/Iqbal's confidence to continue to excel until the fourth shot, so the score became 8-0. The fifth prediction, the South Korean pair managed to reach two points, reducing the gap to 2-8. The condition continued at the sixth shot to 4-8. The audience echoed again, when Arista/Iqbal again gained two points which widened the score to full. This situation continued at the seventh shot which made the score change to 12-4.

On the wind, Arista/Iqbal got closer to the champion after changing the score to 14-4. Until the last point led them to win 16-4 as well as make history as the first Indonesian shooter to win gold in the World Cup Rifle/Pistol. While the joint bronze was won by Irina Yunsmetova/Valeriry Rakhimzhan (Kazakhstan 2) and Sylvia Steiner/Richard Zechmeister (Austria) who beat each other in the final round.Yunusmetova/Rakhimzhan won over Ye Jin Oh/Cheongyong/Ye Jin Oh (South Korea 1) with 16-10. While Steiner/Zechmeister beat Nigina Saidkulova/Mukhammad Kamalov (Uzbekistan 2) with a score of 16-6. With this result, Indonesia as the host is temporarily in third place in the standings with one gold and one bronze. The first position is home to Hungary who won two gold medals. Then South Korea in second place with one gold and one silver. Japan and Uzbekistan share a place in fourth place by equally winning one gold.
