Semarang Mayor Checks Johar Market Traders' Condition While Shopping

SEMARANG - Semarang Mayor Hendrar Prihadi (Hendi) checked the condition of traders who had occupied Johar Market which had been rebuilt.

Hendi also had a dialogue with traders to get input about the market conditions that burned in 2015.

According to him, a number of improvements are still needed so that trading activities in the market can be optimal.

Some things that are still being highlighted, said Hendi, are the barriers around the market that were installed during the construction process.

"The barrier needs to be removed immediately so that the activities of the community and traders can be easier," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 1.

In addition, said the mayor of Semarang, the former project materials also need to be removed immediately to make access to the market easier.

Hendi expressed his readiness to encourage people to go back to shopping at Johar Market as before.

Mayor Hendrar Prihadi also took the time to shop at a number of traders.

This is in line with his instructions for civil servants in the Semarang City Government to shop at this market as an effort to revive the trade that has already started running.
