Viral Beating Residents In Kuta Bali, Police Intervene

BADUNG - The alleged beating of dozens of people in the Kuta area, Badung Regency, Bali, has gone viral on Bali's social media.

The brutal action was also caught on CCTV. One resident was reportedly injured from being slashed with a sharp weapon.

The Head of Public Relations of the Denpasar Police, Insp. I Ketut Sukadi, confirmed the incident in Kuta. The victim is known as I Putu Hendra Prayoga Susila (22).

"The victim has been referred to Sanglah Hospital using an ambulance," said Insp. Sukadi, Monday, November 1.

According to the information from the reporter who was with the victim, I Wayan Feryana, the beating in Kuta occurred in the early hours of Sunday, October 31.

At that time, Feryana carried the victim to the house through Majapahit Street, Kuta.

But before the bridge, they passed about six motorbikes. When he was about to turn towards Majapahit Street, the perpetrator suddenly chased the victim. They confront the victim. Feryana also ran with the victim.

"Then the victim approached the reporter (Feryana) and asked to be taken to Siloam Hospital, the victim said he had a head injury. Then the reporter rushed to take the victim. However, after arriving at Siloam Hospital, the victim was referred to Sanglah Hospital using an ambulance," said Insp. Sukadi.
