If Your Trip Is More Than 250 Kilometers Or 4 Hours, Don't Forget To Bring The COVID-19 Test Results

JAKARTA - The government requires long-distance travel with provisions of more than 250 kilometers or a minimum travel time of 4 hours to bring a negative result of the COVID-19 test.

This requirement applies to motorcyclists, private cars, to public transportation by land. The requirements are negative results of RT-PCR or rapid antigen test, as well as a minimum vaccination certificate for the first dose.

The regulation is contained in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Transportation Number 90 of 2021 concerning Amendments to SE Number 86 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Domestic Travel by Land Transportation During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

"Travelers using land transportation using individual motorized vehicles, motorbikes, and public motorized vehicles are required to show a vaccine card (at least the first dose of vaccine) and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a maximum of 3x24 hours before departure, or negative results of rapid antigen tests whose samples are taken within a maximum period of 1x24 hours before departure," wrote SE as quoted on Monday, November 1.

Furthermore, ferry transport travelers are required to show a vaccine card for at least the first dose of vaccine and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 3x24 hours before departure or negative results of rapid antigen tests whose samples were taken within a maximum period of 1x24 hours. or on-site before departure, as a travel requirement

Then, long-distance travelers who use land transportation and crossing transportation from and to areas outside the Java and Bali islands are required to show a vaccine card at least the first dose of vaccine and a certificate of negative RT-PCR test results whose samples were taken within a certain period of time. a maximum of 3x24 hours before departure, or a negative rapid antigen test result whose sample is taken within a maximum of 1x24 hours before departure, as a requirement to continue the journey.

This Circular Letter will come into effect on October 27, 2021, until a later date is determined and can be extended according to the needs and/or the latest developments in the field.
