Raids Cafe And Restaurant Entertainment Places, Joint Officers Still Find Violating Managers

JAKARTA - East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Pol Erwin Kurniawan, and joint officers from Forkopimda held a surprise inspection (sidak) to a number of cafes and bars in several areas. The results of the patrol, the joint team found a number of violations of operating hours.

One of the bars in the Cawang area, Cililitan, East Jakarta was found violating health protocols. The arrival of the joint officers, made the visitors panic. There the officers found a violation.

After being given an appeal for health protocols regarding COVID-19 and rules for easing operating hours by officers, visitors immediately left the cafe. Meanwhile, the manager is given a firm warning so as not to repeat the violation again.

The operation was resumed and headed to the Cipayung area, to be precise near Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). A number of roadside lesehan stalls were found violating operating hours. The officers also dispersed the visitors and traders at the location.

East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Grand Commissioner Pol Erwin Kurniawan said his party together with the TNI and Satpol PP carried out large-scale patrols in order to bring order to the obedience of the Imdagri and Pergub related to awareness of health protocols.

"The results of this patrol were found several places operating over 24.00 western Indonesia time, we ask to disperse and obey the rules," he said when confirmed by VOI, Monday, November 1.

Currently, the Police Chief continued, even though the pandemic has slowed down, there is a tendency that they have started to ignore operational hours, especially at cafes and crowded areas. So, continued the Police Chief, starting at 24.00 western Indonesia time, several patrols were carried out to places to eat, restaurants, and nightclubs that were still open after 04.00 western Indonesia time to close immediately.

"If it exceeds operating hours, the Satpol PP will be penalized. Meanwhile, the cafes that are stubborn are the police line (sealing with the police line) and their owners are held accountable," he said.
