"The total evidence that was seized was five packages of crystal methamphetamine with a gross weight of 81.56 grams," he explained.

He said the suspect entered the inter-provincial network and obtained methamphetamine from someone in Makassar City by sticking it using telephone communication and then distributing it to Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi.

"Currently, the suspect and the confiscated evidence are at the Headquarters of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police for further investigation," he explained.

The suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) subsidiary Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a death penalty, life imprisonment, or imprisonment for a minimum of six years and a maximum of 20 years.
