LRT Carriage Damaged Due To Accident On Jagorawi Toll Elevated Rail Starts To Be Evacuated

JAKARTA - Three carriages of the Jabodebek Light Rail Transit (LRT) began to be evacuated after being involved in an accident on the overpass of the Jagorawi Toll Road, Cibubur, East Jakarta.

Senior Manager of PKBL, CSR & Relationship of PT INKA, Bambang Ramadhiarto said, the three carriages that were evacuated were one carriage from the number 29 train series and two carriages from the number 20 train series.

"Trainset (train series) number 29 is one train (carriage), series number 20, two trains (carriage) that hit 29," said Bambang when confirmed by reporters, Saturday, October 30.

The three damaged LRT carriages will be brought to PT INKA in Madiun, East Java for repair. The evacuation process began on Friday, October 29, at night, until Saturday, October 30 in the early hours of this morning.

Meanwhile, General Manager Technology of PT INKA, Hery Presetya, said that the process of evacuating a series of trains on the elevated rail of the Jagorawi Toll Road to Jakarta will take up to five days.

"The evacuation of the trainset (train series) will be effective for approximately five days, starting from Friday-Saturday 29-30 October 2021 and Monday-Wednesday 1-3 November 2021, every 22.00-04.00 WIB," he said.
