50 Witnesses Have Been Examined, The Prosecutor's Office Is Still Collecting Evidence For Alleged Corruption In Depok Fireworks

DEPOK - The Depok District Attorney's Office (Kejari) is still investigating allegations of corruption in the procurement of uniforms, PDL shoes and salary cuts within the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP).

The Depok Kejari has appointed 8 investigating prosecutors to carry out 2 investigation warrants related to the Depok City Damkar.

Head of the Intelligence Section of the Depok Prosecutor's Office, Andi Rio, said that the fire case is currently under investigation as stated in Article 1 number 2 of the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).

An investigation, said Andi Rio, is a series of actions carried out by seeking and collecting evidence of elements of a criminal act, with the aim of finding the suspect.

"Legal evidence according to the criminal justice system in Indonesia is as stipulated in Article 184 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code, namely witness statements, expert statements, letters, instructions and statements of suspects/defendant," said Andi Rio in a written statement, Thursday, October 28. .

Andi Rio also explained that the investigating prosecutor is currently collecting evidence to determine the suspect.

Based on the report, related parties have been summoned as witnesses. And to this day it is known that 50 witnesses have been summoned.

Andi Rio also said that the Depok City Firefighters case contained two investigation letters. "The first investigation is related to the procurement of PDL uniforms and shoes, the first investigation warrant. The second investigation warrant is related to the investigation of salary deductions," he explained.

“Investigating prosecutors will work professionally and proportionally. Currently, the investigating prosecutor is working and later we will inform you of further developments," Andi said.
