JAKARTA - The police stated that they suspected that the cause of the accident that killed Iptu DS was due to negligence. The truck driver is suspected of driving while using his cell phone.

"From the initial investigation, it was revealed that he was calling his wife", said Head of Sub-Directorate for Law Enforcement of Traffic Directorate, Metro Jaya Police, AKBP Argo Wiyono, when confirmed, Thursday, October 28.

The alleged negligence of the driver with the initials CS was known based on the results of the truck driver's inspection, when the incident happened, they were right next to CS.

To confirm this, the police are still looking for other evidence. The goal is to strengthen the allegations into facts in a series of events.

"Just whether it's because the phone or using this cellphone is not concentrated so that it causes an accident, we have to look again", continued Argo.

Therefore, continued Argo, his party will look for CCTV cameras installed around the scene. Thus, the evidence will strengthen the current conjecture.

"The incident was confirmed by CCTV, corroborated by the witness of the car behind which we can only determine", said Argo.

A member of the Traffic police guard Metro Jaya Police, Iptu DS, died in an accident on the Jakarta Toll Road section in the direction of Cikampek KM 13+400. The reason is that the truck grazed the motorcycle of Iptu DS.

The deadly accident began when Iptu DS was tasked with escorting a group of the Metro Jaya Police supervision team for activities in Bekasi, this afternoon.

At that time, Iptu DS tried to direct the truck to move to the slow lane on the left side. However, the truck driver steered the steering wheel to the right and finally grazed Iptu DS.
