Depraved, 1.5 Month Old Baby Girl Sold By Her Biological Mother For IDR 7 Million

JAKARTA - The Ranmor Unit (crimes against motor vehicles) together with the Women and Children Service (PPA) of the Palembang Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to uncover cases of child trafficking by securing several perpetrators.

Reporting from humas.polri.id, a mother sold a 1.5-month-old baby for IDR 7 million.

From this case, the police determined a number of perpetrators, including Anita (25) a resident of IB II Palembang sub-district, Nazori alias Gatot (37) a resident of Sukarami Palembang sub-district, Putri Anggraini (27) a resident of IB II Palembang sub-district, and Rohimah (47) a resident of IB II Palembang District. 

The Head of the Palembang Police, Kombes Pol Irvan Prawira Satyaputra, through the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Tri Wahyudi, said that the disclosure of this case was thanks to the report of Bobi (26).

"We received a report from Bobi regarding his one-month-old child with the initials L who was trafficked by his wife Anita", he said, Wednesday, October 27.

This happened on October 19, 2021, on Lestari Street, Kemang Manis Village, IB II Palembang District at around 14.00 WIB and was known by Boby after being told by the perpetrator Anita at night around 22.00 WIB.

"From the reporter's information to us, he had contacted the perpetrator Gatot to return his child but the perpetrator Gatot could not return her because his child was already in Lake Ranau", she said.

Based on Boby's report, the perpetrators were arrested one by one at his residence by members of the Ranmor Unit and Women and Children Service (PPA) of the Palembang Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Tuesday, October 27 at around 20.30 WIB.

"There are still three more perpetrators that we are still pursuing, we have pocketed the identities of the perpetrators", he added.

Meanwhile, Anita admitted that she received a message from the perpetrator with the initials US (DPO) that her child, who was born on August 31, would be taken care of.

"Because I had to, I just obeyed, so that on the day of the incident at around 14.00 WIB I went to the house of the perpetrator Rohima with my child, at that time there were already perpetrators of US (DPO), perpetrators of Rohimah, perpetrators of Putri Anggraini and Gatot", she said.

Then at around 14.30 WIB, he handed over the baby to the perpetrator Gatot and gave the baby to the perpetrator Rohimah.

"I got IDR 4 million from the merchant, then I told my husband about the incident and he was angry and finally reported the incident which resulted in me being arrested too", she said.
