Defense Minister Prabowo: Alutista Must Be Treated Well

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto emphasized the importance of maintaining the TNI's main weapons system (defense equipment) as well as possible.

"Our people want the defense equipment system so that it can be used and cared for as well as possible," Prabowo said during his working visit to the Ahmad Yani Squadron-11/Serbu Lanumad Semarang, Central Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 27.

In the midst of the Ministry of Defense's efforts to meet the needs of the TNI's Alutsista, said the Minister of Defense, his party also pays attention to the optimal maintenance of the TNI's Alutsista in order to increase the TNI's operational readiness and realize zero accidents.

The Ministry of Defense, said Prabowo, is committed to supporting the maintenance of the TNI's defense equipment. This is realized by continuing to maximize the use of the defense budget, both for the procurement and maintenance of the TNI's defense equipment.

The former Danjen Kopassus also expressed his highest appreciation and thanked the Commander of the Army Aviation Center (Danpuspenerbad) Major General TNI Teguh Pudjo Rumekso and his staff for organizing this activity.

The overhaul of 2 Bell 412 helicopters was carried out by PT Black Diamond Heliaero which was then handed over to Danpuspenerbad Major General TNI Teguh Pudjo Rumekso.

The overhaul process lasted for 40 months aimed at maintenance in accordance with the existing maintenance manual from the helicopter manufacturer.

During this visit, Defense Minister Prabowo also reviewed Puspenerbad's defense equipment title and received an explanation from Danpuspenerbad.
