DKI Transportation Agency Asked To Close Illegal Train Doors To Avoid Falling Victims

JAKARTA - The impact of an accident involving an electric rail train (KRL) with a motorcycle at the door of an illegal train on Electric Power Street, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency is asked to immediately close it.

Head of the Traffic Unit (Kasatlantas) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police Kompol Purwanta said the closing of train doors was illegal to prevent accidents between trains and motorized vehicles or pedestrians.

"It's not a public road, so technology (automatic doorstop) has not been touched. We have submitted it to (Dishub) to make repairs," Kompol Purwanta told VOI, Wednesday, October 27.

According to Purwanta, the path traversed by the motorcyclist was an illegal plot crossing, aka unregistered. The crossing should not be traversed by pedestrians or motorized vehicles.

Purwanta thought it would be better if the illegal level crossing was closed to avoid similar accidents in the future. While waiting for the closure process, his party will carry out patrols at illegal plots of railroad crossings.

He considered that anticipation must be done because many people use the railroad crossings to earn income.

"Police have brought members to anticipate that there will no longer be 'Pak Ogah' who arranges the journey of residents at level crossings," he said.

As is known, the latest accident occurred between a train and a motorcyclist on the Electric Power Road, Tanah Abang. Luckily, Duladi's life, the motorcyclist survived.

The incident began when Duladi rode a motorcycle with the number A 2452 XY across the motorcycle at the gated crossing.

Arriving at the railroad crossing, the motorcycle was hit by KRL noreg 2051 majoring in Palmerah - Tanah Abang which was running from south to north.
